**Disclaimer: No guarantees can be made for accuracy, completeness and timeliness of database records. This information is valuable, but best used to pre-screen or in conjunction with more comprehensive Courthouse searches.

Note: Information from official state repositories, correction departments, arrest records, courthouses. Information sources vary by state.

Note: If a particular state is not included in the multistate database, it is likely found in the state check.

Credit Reports available for employment purposes only!
Credit reports can be a valuable tool for assessing applicants who may occupy a position where business needs dictate a history of financial responsibility

Credit information provides insight into an applicant’s responsibility toward his/her obligations, and integrity and ability to fulfill financial obligations. The report includes the applicant's credit history, providing an objective overview of how financial obligations are handled over a period of time.

An Employment Credit Report differs from a traditional credit report, in that it is tailored for use in an employment situation. For example, it does not include account numbers, nor does the "pull" count against the applicant's credit score.

To help alleviate the confusion of reading credit reports EBI assesses the information for you and puts it into an easy to read format (chart) that enables our clients to easily understand the information.

Business Credit Reports also available.

EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION

Applicants may falsify or exaggerate employment history to meet the requirements for a position, or in an attempt to inflate experience in hopes of greater compensation. Some common types of inaccurate information discovered through an employment verification include but are not limited to:

  • Dates of employment extended to cover job changes
   • Position, title or responsibilities
   • Employer listed is fictitious or at times they do not even exist

Employment Verifications will go back as far as 20 years and go way beyond just dates and title.  We answer questions such as what were there weaknesses and strengths, there eligibility for rehire, attendance and punctuality, communication skills, leadership qualities, ability to take direction and so much more.  We also offer a 1-5 ratio scale on ability to take criticism, quality of work, organizational skills, etc..

We go beyond what most company's call an employment verification of dates, title and eligibility for rehire.  And 8 out of 10 times we get the answers we need to help assist you in understanding the applicant sitting in front of you.

MOTOR VEHICLE

Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) requires, Name, DL# and DOB.   Driving records, also known as motor vehicle reports (MVRs), provide the driving history of an individual. The driving history detailed in a motor vehicle report can include license history, accident, violation, and driving restriction information.  If there are any DUI's on a driving record that were prosecuted as a felony it would most likely fall off and go onto a criminal record.  Which is why it is important for any company hiring drivers to pull criminal records along side of a MVR.

***CA state law does not allow for MVR to be pulled as an individual report.

This report enables our researches to make sure the applicant is who he says he is and do they have a legal right to work in the U.S.  It is a useful research tool to identify additional names and counties for criminal research. EBI/AOG strongly recommends that a criminal search be conducted in each county of previous residence during the past seven years.

One of the most common areas of resume fraud occurs in the embellishment of the applicant’s education. In today’s changing economy, more positions require advanced skills, degrees and experience. According to BusinessWeek, the shifting employment picture will necessitate an upgrade in workers' skills for the job growth that will occur this decade.

As jobs become more competitive, it is also very common for applicants to exaggerate their educational history. Some of the most frequent education misrepresentations include but are not limited to:

  • Different Type of Degree (Associates vs. Bachelors)
   • Different Major or Program
   • Attended, but Never Graduated or never attended at all

We will contact the institution that granted the degree or certificate. The verification will include dates of attendance, degree, major or program, and graduation date, if applicable.
